We are using PalTalk to broadcast the competition live. Come and join us. All you need to do is follow the steps below or skip to section 2 if you already have the program installed on your PC.


Section 1 - PALTALK REGISTRATION

Step 1 - Download:

Click "Download'" below. This will save PalTalk to your computer, select a location for the file and then click "Save". (Download time should be less than 4 minutes on a 56k connection.)

Step 2 - Installation:

Once the download has completed, double click on the "pal_install.exe" icon that will appear in the folder in which you saved the file, it will look like a blue globe. This will start the installation which will install PalTalk to your computer. After the installation completes it will launch PalTalk automatically.


Step 3 - Account Setup:

A login screen should appear. <New User> should be in the Nickname window, if it isn't, you can click on the drop down menu and select it. (If you already have a Nickname and a Password skip this step.)

 

 

Once <New User> is selected you should notice that the password area is grayed out. Now click on the 'Sign On' button to begin registration.


A user information screen should come up, fill in this information and the instructions to continue.


Now you should be ready to join the live broadcast


 

 Section 2 - JOINING THE LIVE BROADCAST

Step 1

Start PalTalk and enter your Nickname and Password if it's not already saved.

Step 2

From the main PalTalk window, click the Groups button. A Group List Window will open up.


Step 3

The groups are organized into categories. Double click Islam and you will see a list of the actual groups in it.



Step 4

Double click on "Qur'an Competition -Vancouver, Canada" to join. A group window will open.



Step 5

The people who are currently in the group are displayed in a member list on the right. The volume control is on the left bottom corner of this windows. The top horizontal ad bar (or any other Ad you may see) is not associated with us.
Messages from us will be displayed in the main window (Middle left) and are submitted by @QuranQ (The Administrator of the Group).



Step 6

To see the video the video click on "See Video" on lower right of your screen.

If you don't see these buttons then you should click on

Step 7

To send a text message (to interact with us) to us, simply select the name of the Administrator of the Group i.e. @QuranQ (From the member list on the right) then click on private on the bottom of the screen.

 

Type your text message in the bottom text box and press Enter or click on Send. Your message will then be sent to the Administrator of the Group only and will not be viewed by other members.
